Aw, we'd never disown you. And we had grilled cheese (no meat) for supper tonight -- does that count as vegetarian?

We need to talk about your tofu recipe--I like to eat it but have been hesitant to cook it so far.

I like your blog too :-)

I hope you don't mind me dumping all my comments in one place but so much to say about your recent posts.

* I'm so excited about the tofu recipe. Last night I made manicotti stuffed with a combo of tofu, broccoli, garlic, oregano, and soy cheese. (A dairy-allergy in the house sure makes this stuff harder.) But the baked tofu looked great AND those veggie burgers from a couple of days ago. Mmmm....

* Definitely agree with your commitment to learning to make things you usually buy. I've been thinking of that every time I give in and buy my kids the organic, baked chicken nuggets at some insane price per box. Breaded chicken is so easy to make and at a fraction of the price. AND I need to fill my freezer with stuff so I have options when I'm strapped for time.

* Thanks for the plug of my blog yesterday!

* Finally, LOVED the NYT article about snacking. We have this discussion all the time at our house. Why does every playdate, kids' activity, school event have to focus on food? Granted, we're super sensitive to it because of the multiple food allergies. But with the rising rates of childhood obesity and diabetes, I think we need to get a MUCH better handle on the relationship we're creating between our kids and food.

Have a great weekend!
