Highlights: Recipe Inspiration

Technically, this post was supposed to go up yesterday, but I was too busy working on my 2011 Goal #6 to get to it.  So, here it is, a day late.  These things happen.

It’s no secret that I read too many a lot of blogs, the vast majority of which are food-related.  It’d be interesting (and scary) to measure how much of my time online is spent in Google Reader reading posts.  From the long list of blogs comes much of my inspiration for what happens in the kitchen.   I have cookbooks that I love and use, but there’s something about an illustrated and tested recipe online that hooks me in.  This week, several blogs posted recipes that I’m really looking forward to making:

Courtney’s Chocolate Chip Cookie Cups with Almond Buttercream Frosting

Caitlin’s Baked Veggie Egg Rolls

smitten kitchen’s Chocolate-Peanut Spread ["Peanutella"]

Emily’s Homemade Vegetable Masala Burgers -since we currently have half a box of the Trader Joe’s variety in our freezer, I can’t wait to make these myself!

Jenna’s Oh Baby Bars (via Evan)

Mrs. J’s Olive and Sun-dried Tomato Grilled Cheese on Salon Food

Julie’s Simple Savvy Scones-I made these last Monday and they’re mighty tasty, but I’m mostly looking forward to tinkering with the recipe and making them my own

Evan’s Snickerdoodle Dessert Hummus – I tried Evan’s other variety this weekend and it’s pretty tasty…I imagine this one is the same

What was the best recipe you found online this week?
