Brian and I ventured to the farm this afternoon to pick up this week’s share. I moved our CSA pickup day so that it would coincide with my menu planning and grocery shopping better. We were still limited to 8 items, so we came home with green garlic (2 items), radishes (last week’s were delicious!), heirloom dried beans, komatsuna (apparently it’s like bok choy), eggs (2 items) and lettuce.
So far, getting the medium share was definitely the right decision. We used up everything from last week a few days ago, except for a few eggs which I intend to use up this week. We ate wraps filled with spinach and cheese for lunch and had a lot of salads that looked like this with our dinners:

Thanks for all the great feedback on Brian’s guest post here, on Twitter and on the Relishments facebook page. He got so many comments I briefly considered letting him take the site over. Luckily, I’ve thought better of it. He’ll definitely be back though.
Lisa, the owner of Mighty Food Farm (my CSA), and I briefly crossed paths as I was leaving the farm today. We are still planning to do the interview, if either of our schedules ever calm down. So send your CSA questions for me or her to relishments at gmail . com or leave them in the comments below.
