Things I Did in the Past 2 Weeks:
- finished my first official year as a teacher
- moved all my school items from one classroom to another
- went to visit my parents in Maine
- served a birthday cake
- saw my sister and her fiancé
- enjoyed on a boat ride
- visited the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens
- listened to most of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo while riding in the car (no spoilers–I’m not done!)
- celebrated Brian’s birthday
- celebrated my third wedding anniversary
- ate some delicious food (more about that later!)
- did a lot of walking
- saw former students I haven’t seen since 2009
- caught the end of a beautiful sunset over the ocean
Things I Didn’t Do:
- anything on my to-do list (though we did accomplish most of our “Maine to-do list”)
- much blogging
- grade any assignments
- read many blogs
- finalize my summer school plans
- worry about what I ate
- watch YouTube videos (and since my subscription notifications go to my inbox, it was sort of ridiculous when I got home)
- cook anything with this month’s Grain of the Month, sorghum, which is why you won’t see a post about it any time soon
