I realize it’s been a little quiet around here this month, but I am totally loving being part of Katy’s 28-Day Blog Challenge.  Much of the work I’m doing isn’t apparent yet, but I promise it will be worth it, at least from the perspective of my mental health.

Meanwhile, we’re just days away from Valentine’s Day–but not so many days that you can’t still put together some awesome treats for your significant other, family, friends and/or coworkers.  Brian’s promised to “spoil” me and I like to think I did decently by him as well (the order came early, so he already received his gift), but I may have to also throw in one of these recipes, because it’s not Valentine’s Day if I don’t cook something special.

Double Chocolate + Red Wine Cookies (Healthy.Delicious)
Chocolate Chip Cookie Bark (The Wannabe Chef)
Chocolate Hazelnut Cheesecake (Food Republic)
6 Surprising Foods to Dip in Chocolate Fondue on Valentine’s Day (Chow)
Salted Caramel Brownies (Smitten Kitchen)
DIY Valentine’s Day: 7 Recipes for Homemade Truffles (Serious Eats)
Chocolate Mousse (NY Times)
Cabernet Chocolate Truffles (How Sweet Eats)
Thomas Keller’s Pomme d’Amour (custard tart) (L.A. Times)
Oreo Cake Batter Bars (Little Bitty Bakes)
Red Velvet Cupcakes with White Choclate Frosting (Serious Eats)
