This is why I could never be a full time blogger. I am perfectly content to disappear from my site for days (without warning, pre-scheduled content or guests posts)
and spend those days walking along the Maine coast
taking my Dad out for a birthday dinner at Ribollita in Portland, where we surprised him with my sister’s presence and a scrapbook of photos and letters from friends spanning 60 years that we’ve been putting together for the past few months
enjoying a hot afternoon walking down the Rockland breakwater
trying out a delicious new restaurant, Tuscan Brick Oven Bistro, in Freeport
chilling out at the L.L. Bean boot
eating a waffle covered with ice cream, peaches and raspberry melba at Wannawaf in Boothbay
watching this mama and baby bird at the Friends of the Library Used Book Store in Boothbay
eating my first Red’s Eats lobster roll (how it was my first I do not know, but it was awesome)
and visiting the statue of Andre the Seal in Rockport.
I just got home from 4 days in Stonington, ME. So beautiful! Ate lobster and crabmeat every day!
Looks like the perfect time away. What fun!
Oh my gosh, that waffle looks delicious.
