August definitely got away from me. We took a trip to Maine to see my parents, I spent a couple days at UMass Amherst for professional development and we did our best to simultaneously squeeze the most out of the final weeks of summer and prepare for the return to school. As always, the return to teaching has been a bit overwhelming – the amount that has to be accomplished and set up and learned in the beginning of every school year is really something. I have learned almost all of my students names though and my room is about 85% set up. Here’s hoping we can get to 100% before caregivers come for open house.
Though not apparent here on Relishments, August was a pretty good month for making and following meal plans.
