Celebrating 6 Years of Relishments…with a Giveaway

Published on January 3, 2015 By Emily. Updated on January 3, 2015

Last week, this blog celebrated 6 years of existence.  6 years of learning and writing and relationships that I never could’ve imagined.  I never would have made it this far without the help of the amazing blogging community, my friends, my family and my husband, Brian.  Every year I step back and marvel at how long I’ve been doing this and how much of a role it plays in my life…and then I go ahead and do it for another year.

Relishments 6 year giveaway

This year Relishments gained a new layout and approach, with an added focus on the beautiful Berkshires of western Massachusetts.  To thank all of you wonderful readers who have been with me for this ride, it’s time for my annual “blogoversary” giveaway.

One lucky winner will receive:

1.  Winter Cocktails: Mulled Ciders, Hot Toddies, Punches, Pitchers and Cocktail Party Snacks by Maria del Mar Sacasa and Tara Striano.  I received this book from a giveaway on Savvy Eats this fall and I love it.  A review is coming soon, I promise, but in the meanwhile, trust me.

2.  Two coupons for free TofuBaked from Nasoya.  You can read my full review here.  New to tofu?  TofuBaked is designed to help you get started.

3.  Handstamped “Audacity” necklace from Bama+Ry, with a garnet stone (shown in inset).  Haven’t picked a theme word for 2015?  Audacity could be a good one!

4.  55 recipe cards featuring recipes from Mark Bittman’s How to Cook Everything.  My love for Mark Bittman is no secret; if your resolution is to cook more, these cards will definitely help you get started.

How do you win?  Enter using the Rafflecopter widget below!

    Congratulations on 6 years!!

Obviously in 2015 I’m looking forward to life with a baby, but also traveling to new places and hopefully seeing some friends and blends that I didn’t get to in 2014. Cheers to a fresh new year!

I love your blog for so many reasons – I have learned a lot from Relishments over the years – especially in your CSA posts, as odd as that may seem. I also really dig your Highlight posts which are filled with great info. I have come back to your blog to reference your lists months after you post them on more than one occasion…”I think Emily did a link up on that subject!” :)

I’m starting 2015 in a better place mentally than ever before, I think — even though I still struggle with depression and chronic pain, I’m coping a lot better and learning how to manage. So I’m looking forward to staying on top of my health problems and not letting them get the best of me this year!

Apparently, in the weirdness that is 2020, posting Apparently, in the weirdness that is 2020, posting to my Instagram feed was one of the things that didn't make the cut. There are more items than I'd prefer in that category, but recently I've felt like I'm beginning to get my feet firmly planted beneath me again. This fall was so busy with learning how to teach remotely and parent 2 children well. I don't anticipate that life will ever feel not busy, but I've been able to carve out some time lately for activities I've been missing. Making bread is one of those activities. Hopefully, more posts in the feed will be more frequent going forward.

#sponsored All the time we've spent at home lately #sponsored All the time we've spent at home lately has definitely had me looking to expand the snack options in my pantry. I jumped at the chance to try these @sunmaid Sour Raisins and they immediately became one of my daughter's favorite snacks. She likes them because they're reminiscent of candy, I like them because they're technically fruit and they come prepackaged for easy snacking and taking on the go. I was pleasantly surprised at how tasty they are!

This weekend's weather was amazing and my family e This weekend's weather was amazing and my family embarked on the only way to kick off fall: we went apple picking at Jaeschke Orchards in Adams. The parking lot was full, but out in the orchard we hardly came across any other groups. The trees were heavy with apples and we quickly filled our bag. Looking forward to apples for snacks, pie, crisp and turnovers in the coming weeks.
