Celebration Week: Bama+Ry Necklace Giveaway

Published on December 28, 2013 By Emily. Updated on December 28, 2013

In celebration of 5 years of my writing Relishments, I’m be doing 3 giveaways over the course of this week, featuring some of the bloggers I’ve been fortunate enough to meet through this site.  There’s still time to enter the giveaway from December 24 (it ends on December 31) and the last giveaway will be announced on December 30.

Unlike the other giveaways this week, Jasmine Myers and I only met for the first time a few months ago.  I have known of her though; I first become exposed to Jasmine during her stint as a blogger.  After some very difficult personal challenges in 2012, however, Jasmine channeled her energy into a different sort of creative venture.  Her Etsy store, bama+ry,  sells Jasmine’s handmade, hand stamped and personalized jewelry.

I’d seen Jasmine’s work around the blogosphere and visited her Etsy page a few times, but I didn’t realize how impressive the pieces were until she brought her wares to the 2013 Healthy Living Summit.  There, Jasmine and I had a series of conversations about her work.  It was then that I realized that “hand stamped” means that Jasmine stamps each individual letter onto the copper and nickel pieces, one by one.  I walked away with a chain and a small anchor charm that I gave my sister for her birthday.  And since then, I’ve been sort of obsessed’ her work is beautiful.  It’s amazing that I haven’t bought every item in the store already.

So I was thrilled when Jasmine was willing to provide Relishments readers the opportunity to win one of her pieces.  I’ll be sending the lucky winner one of her Creative necklaces.  The necklace the winner will receive is slightly different than the one shown above; the stone is a dark color and the charm has a heart stamped on it, as shown in my photo below.

I found two great Christmas gifts on Etsy – one was a fairy door for my mother who collects, the other was a batman logo key chain that said “you are my superhero” for my boyfriend. He LOVED it!

Well I found a couple great gifts from Etsy under our tree. My hubby is now great about following my history to see the shops and items I favor.

I love Jasmine! I met her at the HLS and she was so darn nice. I love the necklace I have from her, but I have a friend who’s considering going back to school to be an art teacher, this would be an amazing gift for her!

There are so many beautiful items on Etsy, but this time I couldn’t buy anything from there (I had not enough money…).

Apparently, in the weirdness that is 2020, posting Apparently, in the weirdness that is 2020, posting to my Instagram feed was one of the things that didn't make the cut. There are more items than I'd prefer in that category, but recently I've felt like I'm beginning to get my feet firmly planted beneath me again. This fall was so busy with learning how to teach remotely and parent 2 children well. I don't anticipate that life will ever feel not busy, but I've been able to carve out some time lately for activities I've been missing. Making bread is one of those activities. Hopefully, more posts in the feed will be more frequent going forward.

#sponsored All the time we've spent at home lately #sponsored All the time we've spent at home lately has definitely had me looking to expand the snack options in my pantry. I jumped at the chance to try these @sunmaid Sour Raisins and they immediately became one of my daughter's favorite snacks. She likes them because they're reminiscent of candy, I like them because they're technically fruit and they come prepackaged for easy snacking and taking on the go. I was pleasantly surprised at how tasty they are!

This weekend's weather was amazing and my family e This weekend's weather was amazing and my family embarked on the only way to kick off fall: we went apple picking at Jaeschke Orchards in Adams. The parking lot was full, but out in the orchard we hardly came across any other groups. The trees were heavy with apples and we quickly filled our bag. Looking forward to apples for snacks, pie, crisp and turnovers in the coming weeks.
