Once I begin to fall behind on things, it can be so difficult for me to start up again. Once my grading pile gets to a certain size, or I’ve put off a chore for a week or – as is the case here – it has been a while since I’ve done any menu planning, the path of least resistance is to just not bother at all. But I’m working to avoid my lazy tendencies and make the most of whatever small amounts of time I have to make even a small amount of progress in the areas I’d like to improve.
Today was one of those days where I feel like there are a lot of those areas; where I feel like I’m falling short across the board. It’s so easy to focus on the things I’m not perfect at, but that’s not helpful to anyone. So today, I’m choosing to do the best I can while embracing God’s grace.
Oh, and here’s the menu, because that’s probably why you’re actually here.
