I’m officially back at school. It’s a good thing – I’m really excited about my role this year and I am desperate to get back into a routine. But going back is also kicking my butt in the way that only the start of a new semester can – I’m so tired, my legs feel like I ran a marathon and I’m already coming down with a cold.
Another sign of fall is that this CSA pick up contains the last fruit share of the year. The fruit share was a new addition at Mighty Food Farm this year and I’m so glad we took part. We got about 3 pounds of fruit per week in addition to our 10 CSA items – peaches, plums, cherries, strawberries, nectarines and blueberries. None of that fruit ever went to waste; we ate all of it. It was an awesome addition to our share and we’ll definitely be doing it next year.
