Hello, friends! Thanks so much for all your feedback on last month’s popovers. They’ll be recurring in my house for sure…but now it’s on something completely different.
I also received some feedback last month that summer is simply too hot to consider baking. I, however, find summer to be an excellent time for baking – the days start early and end late and are often relatively cool at either of those times. Plus, there are usually plenty of events to bring baked goods to, in the event that you don’t want to singlehandedly consume an entire cheesecake. In short, it’s always the right time for baking (I also think it’s always the right time to drink hot tea though, so your mileage may vary).

Relishments Bakes – August

This month, we’re making flourless chocolate cake!
To be honest, I’m not sure why we’re making a flourless chocolate cake. I planned out the schedule for Relishments Bakes months ago and this is what I chose, apparently. But now that I’ve spent a bunch of time researching recipes and adding things to Pinterest, I am so excited to be making one. There are so many incredible looking possibilities and many of them have super short ingredient lists.
These options especially caught my eye:
- Flourless Chocolate Cake with Vanilla Buttercream – What’s Gaby Cooking
- Easy Small Nemesis Chocolate Cake – Serious Eats
- Flourless Mocha Torte – Ghirardelli
- Chocolate Idiot Cake – David Lebovitz
- Flourless Chocolate and Almond Layer Cake – The Kitchn
As always, the Pinterest board for this month has lots of ideas too!
Don’t forget to use #RelishmentsBakes on your social media posts and tag @relishments so I can see your flourless chocolate cake results!
My sister was allergic to flour. We had flour-less cake and cookies. Love them!
