Can we all agree that the weather this summer has been bizarre? I’m hoping that the next couple of months includes some days that are not extremely hot, extremely hazy (and not safe to go outside) or pouring rain. That said, we’ve had a good and summery week over here. Brian and I went to Tanglewood on Sunday to see Robert Plant and Alison Krauss, which was an amazing show. Tanglewood continues to be one of my very favorite places and I’m grateful we were able to attend this summer and that the rain held off, for the most part. We also had the opportunity to visit with my parents for a few days; they babysat while we attended the show and then stayed for a couple days. Other than that, we’ve been alternating between playing tourist locally, getting things done around the house and entertaining our kids.
The Pick Ups

The Plan
charcuterie at Tanglewood for Brian and I; pasta and vegetable sticks for the kids who were home with my parents
Easy Ham and Cheese Croissants with sliced turnips, cucumbers and radishes
hamburgers, hot dogs, French fries and salad
choose-your-own dinner/assorted leftovers
Yummy Lemon Salmon Burgers (All Recipes) that ended up being tuna burgers with Easy Collard Greens, which I forgot to make with last week’s tacos
ground beef lettuce wraps (adapted from these Beef Bulgogi Lettuce Wraps on What’s Gaby Cooking) with cucumber sticks
green salads with cucumbers, radishes, turnips and scallions // pasta for the kids
Plans for Remaining Items:
lettuce – we still have head lettuce from last week, so the romaine will definitely carry us into next week
sweet potatoes – I’m now up to 4 sweet potatoes in my pantry. We’ll make use of them soon, but they’ll also keep for a while
blueberries – for snacks, desserts, and on top of oatmeal for breakfast
