What a weekend! We started off by celebrating Halloween – at work, at a party and while handing out candy to kids. Our Mario and Luigi costumes got tons of acclaim, despite the fact that they were super, super easy. All we did was purchase suspenders and hats (both from Amazon), and Brian bought a shirt. I already had mine! I liked these costumes because they were super simple and super recognizable. I’m sure we’ll be repeating them at some point in the future. (Sorry for the tiny cell phone photo!)
And, just like that, it’s November. I’m really excited to be participating in National Novel Writing Month. NaNoWriMo has been on my radar for years and it was even on my 101 in 1001 list that I started in 2012. At the end of the project (in September 2014), I listed NaNoWriMo as something I’d “lost interest in”. Since then I’ve regained my interest and this fall seems like the perfect time to participate. I’m done with school, my other obligations are limited and I have a bit of a story idea. I have no idea where this month will take me, or if I’ll finish (the goal is 50,000 words by the end of the month). My plan is to focus on my story this month, so I don’t know how often I’ll post here. I do have some guest posts scheduled as well as a book review/recipe. I’m also still accepting guest posts, if you want to see your writing here!
