As I mentioned in my last post, Valentine’s Day is a holiday I can pretty much take or leave. The extent of the “celebration” in our household today was free cards that we made/printed offline in about 30 seconds. At some point, maybe, we’ll treat ourselves to a nice dinner out. But that won’t be today. And I think both Brian and I are pretty happy with that.
However, I really do like making special food for special occasions. I’m always looking for opportunities and recipes to celebrate loved ones (or myself). The types of recipes that appear around Valentine’s Day are perfect for those times. So I hope you’ll join me in saving these ideas for another day that’s worthy of a little extra effort (unless, of course, you have a lot of free time today to make one of these recipes immediately).
