Summer. Fruit is finally available, the days are long and parties are happening. I know I’m not alone in my sudden interest in mixing drinks, because my Feedly subscriptions have been full of recipes and posts and ideas for cocktails and cocktail parties. Once again, just like last summer, I’m tempted to expand my home bar from the 3 bottles it currently contains (tequila, gin, and Grand Marnier) and really start experimenting. Last summer I tried gin for the first time at my brother-in-law’s and I’ve been obsessed ever since. He mixed the gin with the cucumber syrup from this recipe and seltzer and lime. As a result, there are a lot of cucumber drink recipes linked below. Who knows what this summer’s new drink discovery will be, but chances are good it will come from the list below.
