It’s hard to believe that the school year has already progressed to April Break. After we go back to school next week, the remainder of the year will fly by (I think). Being on break is allowing me a bit of time to relax, catch up with my family and get my head on straight before the final sprint. In an effort to not think too hard, this week I’m sharing some of the sites I’ve discovered and been enjoying lately.
Steal This Art: This site sells limited quantities of a new piece of art every day for a really reasonable price. Everything I’ve seen so far is pretty contemporary and some of it is a little strange, but the possibility of something awesome keeps me subscribed to their email list.
Molly Ford’s Smart, Pretty and Awkward provides daily snippets of advice to help you be smarter, prettier and less awkward. I’ve definitely made use of some of her tips and the links she shares are always interesting.
The YouTube channel Geek and Sundry launched at the beginning of this month and I’m loving it. I keep the geek side of my life fairly quiet on this blog, but I can’t resist sharing a channel in which “the producers of “The Guild” bring you a diverse line-up featuring the very best of indie geek culture.” The channel has several different shows, features the likes of Felicia Day and Wil Wheaton, and has content that includes board games, sci-fi and fantasy books and comics.
Also on YouTube, I’ve really enjoyed the first few episodes of The Lizzie Bennett Diaries, a 21st century version of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice.
Thank goodness somebody I know is watching the Lizzie Bennett Diaries! I am loving them! :)
Sometimes we have so much in common it’s a little scary… :)
