It was only a matter of time, I suppose, before I got tagged. One of my roommates for HLS (23 days!!), Kristin and one of the CDNY Eat Drink Blog ladies, Amy, just tagged me in their 7 links posts. It’s alright though; everyone knows I love these sorts of memes and always hope I’ll get tagged.
If you aren’t familiar with the 7 links post, it’s been circulating around the blogosphere for the past couple weeks. A fellow blogger tags you in a 7 Links post of their own, then you respond with your own answers, and tag 7 additional bloggers. It’s a really cool opportunity to look back to some of your favorite posts.
My 7 Links
Most Beautiful Post: Views From Ocean City.
“Beautiful” isn’t something I really strive to achieve with my posts, but I really love the photos from our recent Jersey Shore vacation.
Most Popular Post: I Believe
I wish that my writing could take 100% credit for the popularity of my I Believe post, but I know that a lot of the hits came from Heather tweeting about it and linking it from her blog. Apparently if a post is popular with Heather, it’s popular with everyone. Not that I’m complaining; I had a lot of fun writing it.
Most Controversial post: Guest Post: Brian Makes Chickpea Casserole
This post is only controversial in my own home. I still don’t understand why, during a time when my readers were especially silent and comments on posts nearly non-existent, Brian’s first ever post got multiple comments and responses on my Facebook page. This is a point of pride for my husband, but I haven’t allowed him to post since.
Most Helpful Post: Lessons Learned at Last Years HLS
Sharing my experiences at last year’s Healthy Living Summit has been really well received by readers, both new and old. I’m glad I was able to share some of what HLS 2010 taught me. It’s been great for introducing me to other people who’ll be in attendance and now I’m super pumped up.
A Post Whose Success Surprised You: Baked Panko Breaded Haddock
I cannot get over the success of this post. This post is the third most read post on Relishments, completely due to search engine traffic. When I look at my search statistics, a lot of the keywords are tied to this post. Am I a fish expert? No. Is it the most amazing recipe ever? No. But apparently there’s a lot of demand out there for a breaded haddock. Who knew?
A Post You Feel Didn’t Get the Attention it Deserved: 1 Chicken, 7 Meals
I turned one chicken into 7 meals. I was impressed with myself, but apparently no one else was, because I didn’t get any comments. At the very least, Ree Drummond’s white chicken enchiladas should get some love, because they were awesome.
Most Proud Of: Pretty. Delicious.
I’m still really proud of myself for making galettes from scratch, twice. Mostly because they tasted absolutely amazing and look pretty darn impressive. I really should make them again, come to think of it.
And, the 7 people I’m tagging to share their 7 links are:
Yay! Thanks for linking me to this…I think you’re the first one! I plan to do it as part of my Weekend Reading post tomorrow.
YAY thanks … I have actually loved reading everyone’s 7 links posts … and I’m out of town next week so this will be perfect to post for then :)
PS – everyone liked when my bf posted on my blog too, jerks!
Thanks for the sympathy, Morgan! Knowing I’m not the only one certainly makes it better (its a recurring joke around here). Looking forward to your post!
