We’ve definitely eaten dinner every night for the last 2 weeks, but I didn’t create a complete plan beforehand and when I looked at my refrigerator menu plan calendar there were serious gaps. It’s been a decent couple of weeks – this week was February break and my daughter and I made a 2 night trip to visit my sister on Boston’s North Shore. I did not cook at all during our visit. What else did we eat over the last fourteen days? I’m not sure, but here are some of the dishes:
The Pick Up
At this point in the winter CSA season, I’m definitely getting tired of winter items. I opted to stock up on apples (which all of us are happy to eat daily), as well as items that will keep for a bit even if I didn’t use them quickly, such as potatoes, honey, carrots and onions.

The Plan
Curried Butternut Squash Soup (Minimalist Baker)
hot dogs and French fries
apple chicken sausage (comparing name brand to store brand) with potato hash and eggs
my version of Ranch Salad with Buffalo Tempeh (Post Punk Kitchen), the kids had macaroni and cheese
takeout from A-OK Berkshire BBQ
pizza (cheese/pepperoni)
chicken cutlets/chicken nuggets with pasta and spinach salad/frozen vegetables for the kids
pizza (cheese/pepperoni/pepperoni & spinach) with carrot and radish sticks
