Nearly every month since the inception of Relishments Bakes, I’ve started with high hopes, found myself baking in the final days of the month and then struggled to get posts up in a timely manner.
This month was very different. But that’s to be expected. Life is not normal for anyone right now.
I managed to bake 5 different things since posting this month’s challenge, 2 weeks ago. It’s amazing what staying home all the time will do for a person.

Drop biscuits from Everybody Loves Sandwiches – I’ve made some variation of these biscuits so many times over the years. They’re super simple to make, easy to double the recipe and take well to variations. I generally serve them with soup.

Peasant Loaves from Artisan Bread in 5 – You know I love these loaves. Recently, even finding 5 minutes to make bread each day had seemed like a lot, but being home helped me get bread back in the rotation.

classic Peanut Butter Blossoms from Hershey’s – I’ll be honest: I bought these Hershey Kisses in the fall with the intent of making peanut butter blossoms as Christmas cookies. But then I had a baby instead. It was nice to finally get these done and they were very much enjoyed.

This cornbread from Binging with Babish made my list of favorite 2019 recipes and Brian made it again this month. It’s still incredible and I’m sure we’ll have it again soon.

The recipe I most wanted to tackle in March was this Earl Grey Yogurt Cake from Molly Baz at Bon Appetit. It’s not a difficult recipe and it totally met my expectations. I have a lot of other baking I want to do, but I’ll definitely return to this loaf when I get a chance.
Stay tuned for a new challenge soon!
