Long time no see! We’ve had CSA pick ups each week since my last post, I’ve planned menus and we’ve eaten good meals, but I was totally incapable of getting a blog post up. But here we are!
This week was our last main season CSA pick up. There was some concern about whether we’d be able to participate in the winter share because our farm lost access to our local indoor winter pick up location due to Covid. Northern Berkshire members of the CSA organized over email to set up a farm share carpool, but just yesterday we received word that a Williamstown winter pick up location has been found. It’s nice to know that we’ll get to keep our winter share and not have to make any trips to Shaftsbury, Vermont.
We cancelled our plans to travel for Thanksgiving, which is a bummer but the right choice. I’m looking forward to a few days at home and doing some serious cooking. Last year we actually hosted Thanksgiving, but I was less than 3 weeks into my C-section and preeclampsia recovery and my baby was still in the NICU, so the whole day is pretty fuzzy in my memory. This year’s celebration won’t be big, but it’ll be nice to be celebrating at home as the 4 of us.
