This weekend was a busy one! Brian went straight from work to the farm on Friday and when he got home it was already past the start time of a game night we were hosting. So the pick up went directly into the fridge and I didn’t bother with a photo. I do a lot of silly things in the name of this blog, but taking the vegetable back out of the fridge to take a picture isn’t one of them. Luckily, I took some photos of the farm on my phone last week when I went to the pick up!
The pick up:
celery, carrots, lettuce, kale, radishes, green beans, cucumbers, zucchini, broccoli, a tomato and free flowers!
The plan:
kale: Cheesy Mashed White Beans With Kale, Parmesan, and a Fried Egg
lettuce, carrots, celery, radishes, tomatoes: salads (boring, I know, but so easy and the vegetables are so good!)
carrots, celery, zucchini: slow cooker chili
green beans: side dish (with salmon) – sautéed with garlic, butter and herbs
broccoli: a variation on Vegan Crispy Stir-Fried Tofu with Broccoli, which I’ve never made before but I don’t think I’m going to buy all the special ingredients
I have been bad at taking pictures lately…oops!
