Food is delicious, but sometimes it’s also really cool just to look at. This week, it seemed like there was a lot of food related art floating around the internet. Maybe this week I can work on my plating and presentation and make my food look prettier.
Endless Simmer featured some impressive photos from Canstruction. Who knew canned goods were good for more than quick dinners? Maybe that’d be a good way to rationalize doing more stockpiling.
IKEA’s new cookbook has gotten quite a bit of buzz, even though it’s not available in the United States yet. Take a look at the illustrations and you’ll understand why. (via HuffPo)
The corn mazes on mental_floss made me glad it’s fall. Maybe I need to go get lost in a corn maze. I feel like it’d be good for my brain.
Cake Wrecks’ weekly “Sunday Sweets” column of beautiful cakes is always good, but this week’s collection of peacock cakes was especially gorgeous.
The Museum of Arts and Design currently has an exhibit called Eat Drink Art Design featuring tableware designed by Roy Lichtenstein, Keith Haring and Dale Chihuly, among others. Very cool looking. (via Diner’s Journal)
