I am well aware that posting holiday related highlights on the evening of that holiday is less than ideal, but unfortunately this weekend has not gone according to plan time-wise and holiday posts on other sites don’t tend to appear until late in the week. Regardless, I won’t be seeing my dad until next weekend anyway, so these highlights are right on time.
I really enjoyed reading the comments on this Lifehacker post: “What’s the Best Life Hack Your Dad Taught You?”. My dad taught me to put almond extract in the milk for my French toast; that’s all the hack I need.
Historically, I haven’t done a lot of cooking for my dad on Father’s Day, but there are a lot of suggestions available.
Closet Cooking has 33 Father’s Day recipes.
Serious Eats has a guide to making dessert for Dad and a Father’s Day Menu.
Food Republic has a menu for a Father’s Day brunch.
Whether your dad’s favorite drink is coffee or whiskey, Cooking Light has gift suggestions.
If you still need ideas, Pinterest has an entire board dedicated just to Father’s Day.
