If you’re just joining me, I’ve been participating in Julie’s 50 Days of the Little Things challenge since the beginning of October. It’s a great idea: listing the 50 things that have brightened my day or made me smile in the days leading up to Thanksgiving. The challenge (and some days it really has been a challenge) has encouraged me to think about the positive small things I might otherwise overlook and de-emphasize the not so good things that can take over.
In case you missed it, my “little things” part 1, part 2, and part 3.
Without further ado, my little things #31-40.
31: I made too many Savvy Scones for a church function, but was able to use the leftovers as my breakfast for the week
32: Filling my weekend with productivity
33: Taking the time to actually enjoy a book
34: Watching my sister open her birthday gift over Skype (technology is awesome!)
35: Learning useful information in my grad class, despite the fact that I would’ve preferred being elsewhere
36: Hearing Christmas music on the radio—I don’t care that it’s only November, I love the holidays!
37: A date day with Brian to kick off our 3 day weekend
38: Going to the mall with a new friend
39: Going for a walk outdoor in the beautiful weather
40: Incredibly helpful coworkers
Next time I update my little things it will be Thanksgiving! I can hardly wait!
