I love stone fruit. Give me a perfectly ripe nectarine any day of the week and I’ll be happy. Peaches, plums and nectarines just scream summer. For those short several weeks when the fruit is at its peak, I buy it almost continually. This love of summer fruit didn’t work out perfectly when the package of nectarines I’d bought at BJ’s was involved in the recent fruit recall (the first recall that’s ever affected me!), but it hasn’t put me off nectarines for long.
