Last month, Relishments officially turned 4 years old. At the time, I was neck deep in end of semester projects and Christmas preparations, so I decided that waiting until January to celebrate another year of blogging would be more appropriate.
I’ve been doing this so long I really cannot imagine a life without it. I cannot fathom a world without a full Google Reader, post ideas rolling around in my brain and the collection of people in my life that I’ve met through blogging. Blogging has introduced me to food, places, ethical issues, technology and an amazing community.
Special thanks, once again, to Allie (whose previous food blog initially inspired me), my parents (who have watched this site evolve from the beginning and paid for the first few years of my domain name ownership), my husband (who lets me cook strange things, travel to meet strangers, spend all my time online, proofreads all my posts, and eats anything that comes out of the kitchen), my mother-in-law (whose online and offline comments are always above and beyond what I’d expect), my sister (for her proofreading and sharing of my blog with her friends), Heather (for constantly promoting my posts), Cynthia (for introducing me to Heather, the Capital District NY bloggers and Healthy Living Blogs), Healthy Living Blogs and the Healthy Living Summit (for keeping me connected, challenging me to improve and introducing me to so many wonderful bloggers). I couldn’t do it without any of you.
So, to thank you all for your continued support, promotion and interest in this blog, I’m giving away some of my favorite products. These items aren’t from any source except my friend and local stores, everything was purchased by me simply because I want to say thank you and share some things I’m loving lately.
The winner will receive
5 handmade notecards by my friend Jen of Summer Mondays (they say “You’re tea-rrific” inside)
Paper-Mate InkJoy Pens (I picked up a set at Target a couple weeks ago and can’t stop using them)
Burt’s Bees Lip Balm (a wintertime necessity)
Celestial Seasonings Jammin’ Lemon Ginger Herbal Tea (a recent discovery and current favorite)
Locally made Berkshire Bark Midnight Harvest chocolate (with almonds, hazelnuts, cranberries and lemon zest)
Simply leave a comment below to enter. If you want, share with us one of your current favorite things, but it’s fine to just say “hi, I like free stuff, pick me!” as well. I’ll draw a winner on the evening of Thursday, January 31.
I’m really excited about where this site is going to go in 2013. I hope you’re planning to join the ride!
