Sometimes it’s easier to be a pessimist. It’s so natural to see the negative things in life: the amount of work I need to get done, the fact that I didn’t post yesterday, how cold my hands currently feel, the pile of dishes in the sink. But, overwhelmingly, there are way more good things happening than bad things. I just have to remember to look for those good things.
That’s why I’m glad that Julie has just kicked off 50 Days of the Little Things and invited everyone to join her.
Julie has been writing Little Things posts since 2009, acknowledging the importance of the little things that improve the days of her and her readers. For the next 50 days (until Thursday, November 24, aka Thanksgiving), I’ll be participating by recording my “little things”—the small events in my life that brighten my day and make me smile.
My plan is to keep a list of my little things and share them with you every 10 days. If you’re of the creative persuasion, Julie has some much more creative and cuter ideas for keeping track of your little things. I’m looking forward to reading over all 7 weeks of happy observations and making reflecting on the positive a regular part of my life. You should join us too!
