Despite my good intentions, Relishments is still a bit of a work in progress (but really, when isn’t it?)
I’ve realized over the past couple days that I can only work on the site for about 3 hours before I start to feel like I’m letting my day slip away and getting way too stressed about the whole thing. So, yesterday afternoon I stepped away from the computer, went for a walk to the supermarket, and then got back in the kitchen. Some people eat when they’re stressed. I cook (and sometimes I eat).
So, I made granola bars (and a mess). Hopefully I’ll perfect the recipe soon and be able to share it with you all.
Then I made swordfish with tomatoes, capers and kalamata olives adapted from this Boston Globe recipe. It turned out to be one of the best seafood dishes I’ve done yet.
Brian and I spent the evening watching Revolutionary Road, which was depressing, but excellently acted.
Feel free to poke around the site and send your feedback my way. I’m really hoping to get it completed today. Most of the pages accessible from the navigation bar are still going to receive tweaks and I’m hoping to finally fix my header image, but other than that, we’re close to being back to regularly scheduled programming. When we get there, I’ll give you a tour of what’s new.
Thanks for your patience!
Hi Em!!
I really love the layout, the colors — and header is gorgeous!
One itsy bitsy tiny thing… can the comment button to click on be at the end of the post, rather than the top of the post? Especially if it is a long recipe, with pictures, to scroll back up to the top would take time that might make people not want to comment… or just confused in general when they can’t find it!
Looks great! :)

I think Meredith’s idea is a good one – it’s easier to find the Comments button when it’s at the end of a post.
I like the color scheme and the new header! And I totally hear you, there’s only so much time I can spend on my blog before I need to get away from the computer! Especially now that it’s finally spring, I just want to be outside all the time!
Meredith and Rachel,
Your wish is my command. The comments link is now at the bottom of the posts.
Thanks for the input!
